Failure mechanisms in denture adhesives

This was a collaborative project with GSK (UK) to investigate the mechanical properties of various bio-adhesives in oral care applications.  A multiscale experimental mechanical approach was used to evaluate the performance of denture adhesive materials including SEM, AFM and miniaturized tensile testing techniques.
