Postdoctoral Researcher Microfabrication of engineered extra-cellular environments and organ-on-chips.

Profile

Nano/Micro-Fabrication of Engineerd Extracellular Environments

Development of nano- to micro-scale fabrication processes for the control of cellular microenvironment geometry and topography. Design of microfluidic chips with multiple hydrogel compartments for the embedding of organotypic cultures and spheroids. Microvascularisation within organ-on-chip platforms. Study of the mechanisms regulating cell sensing of nanoscale topography. In particular, the processes controlling actin dynamics and their impact on cell adhesion, spreading and fate decision.

Interests: biophysics, cell adhesion, microfabrication, travelling.
